Singles Ladder Rules |
| 1 |
ALL Ladder matches are to be played as the best of 3 games to 11 points |
| 2 |
Players may challenge two positions above them on the ladder e.g. Position 5 is able to challenge Positions 4 & 3, but not 2 or 1. |
| 3 |
Players may not challenge anybody lower in the ladder than themselves |
| 4 |
Players cannot challenge the same person two weeks in a row UNLESS you have lost by default, under which circumstances you may challenge back the following week. |
| 5 |
Challenges can be submitted to Gareth Price*, in order to ensure that there are no conflicting challenges, however ad-hoc matches can also be arranged, provided that they follow the correct format, and scores are submitted as outlined in Rule #6 |
| 6 |
Scores must be submitted to Gareth Price* within 3 days of completing the challenge |
| 7 |
Challenges must be played within 1 week of submission, i.e. you'll only have 1 Wednesday to complete your challenge - otherwise you'll have to rearrange for the weekend!!! |
| 8 |
Defaulting on any challenge results in automatic loss - under these circumstances you may refer to Rule #4. Only the challenger may cancel a challenge without consequence to his/her ladder position - if you must cancel a challenge, respect for your opponent suggests that you do so in good time. Please see Rule #9 for non-attendance without prior notice. |
| 9 |
The non attendance at any challenge will result in a forfeit by the absent party. This rule applies to challengers and challengees alike. (NB Challengers: your ladder position may not be affected by non-attendance, but it will count as a loss in the points table (above) unless you have formally cancelled the challenge within an acceptable time-frame (see Rule #8)) |
| 10 |
Any players who fail to participate in the ladder for three consecutive weeks will be automatically be placed at the bottom of the ladder. If you are injured or unable to play for an extended period of time, please let Gareth Price* know at your earliest convenience. |
| 11 |
If the challenger wins, players will SHUFFLE positions. If the challenger loses, positions will remain the same |
